About Toyin Jemilugba Foundation
The Toyin Jemilugba Foundation was born from a story of profound love, heartbreaking loss, and unyielding strength. It is a living tribute to a remarkable woman, Oluwatoyin Jemilugba, whose life embodied the very essence of motherhood and compassion.
Toyin was a warrior in every sense of the word. As a mother, she experienced the ultimate pain of losing a child to Sickle Cell Disease. Yet, with incredible resilience, she continued to pour her heart into raising her other children, one of whom also lived with the condition. She understood, firsthand, the unique challenges, fears, and medical battles that Sickle Cell brings to a family. Beyond her own home, her heart ached for mothers around herwomen struggling to keep their families healthy, housed, and hopeful with limited resources.
